Tallest Man in the world
Here we split into groups and were exploring options of how we wish to display our final book.
We split into groups and collaboratively created a concertina book.
This idea would work well with one continuous scene, a panoramic image.
To prove this we created a version of something looooong.
STORY BOARD
From this we then continued to explore ways of committing our thoughts (drawing on what we had learnt in a composition hand out about thinking via pencil in roughs).
From this we made a story board on our favourite film - CHICAGO
Since starting Uni i have had to attempt making quite thumbnail drawings which is out of my comfort zone. I like drawing realistic looking things and have realised that I don't have a good understanding of body forms and positions without having something as reference. This is event in my quick drawings for example bellow... I have also realised that in roughs it isn't necessarily important that they are perfect as they are just ways of communicating and visualising ideas on paper.
Interestingly everyone planned their story boards by drawing rough sketches on a piece of a4 before transferring them to the a3 page. I didn't do this. I wrote a list of the scenes i wanted to capture before then transferring them digitally...
