Tap Dancing Gif

Tap Dancing Gif

This Gif was influenced by the video of me improvising/responding to a song (video)
I screenshot stills of body language to work from.
This makes the gif authentic to this one song even though the moves may be in other responses as well.

The visual language was deliberately loose, without adding colour quite to the edges to deliberately make the image loose like it was mid movement.
The dots in the background were a loose attempt to suggest rhythm (the structure of patterned dots).

Here the vessel of the response is being portrayed in action. It is not visualising the music itself, more visualising the creative output responding to the music...another element.

It attempts to capture movement more than a static image can through flicking between different images, however is ultimately static images together without any flow or fluidity.
